If you’re running a translation-focused WordPress blog and want to earn revenue through AdSense, you’ll ultimately need to register an ads.txt file on your site.
While platforms like Tistory handle this automatically, WordPress requires manual configuration.
There are several ways to set this up, but the easiest method is using a plugin.
All you need to do is copy and paste the ads.txt file into the root directory of your WordPress site..

In the WordPress admin dashboard, go to the menu on the left and navigate to Plugins. From there, search for and install a plugin called ads.txt Manager.
There may be several similar plugins available—feel free to choose the one that best suits your preferences.

After installation is complete, click on Settings at the bottom left of your WordPress admin dashboard. You should now see a new ads.txt menu.
If the menu doesn’t appear right away, try refreshing the page or wait a moment before clicking again.
Clicking the menu will open a text input field. Go to your Google AdSense account, find the ads.txt content listed under the Sites section in the left-hand menu, and copy the provided line of text meant for your root directory. Paste it into the input field and save.
The format of the line will look something like this:google.com, pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, DIRECT, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
You’ll need to verify that the changes were successfully applied.
Even if you manually paste the ads.txt file into the root directory, it might take a bit of time to be reflected. In the past, it could take a day or two, but recently the changes are often applied immediately.
Once everything is properly set up, visit:https://yourwebsite.com/ads.txt
You should see your ads.txt file displayed on the page.
After that, Google AdSense will review your setup and, once approved, your ads will begin displaying correctly.
