Before adding Seoul Baekje Museum to an Olympic Park visit in autumn 2026, check the gallery restrictions. The building’s evening opening does not mean its permanent and special exhibition rooms are all available.
Autumn 2026: check the galleries before making a special trip
The museum’s current Korean homepage announces first-floor permanent-gallery work from September to December 2026, with a planned return in December. Its separate special-exhibition notice restricts viewing in planning galleries 1 and 2 from October 19 through November 26. The next Baekje cultural exhibition is scheduled for November 27, 2026–February 21, 2027; these are announced dates, not a guarantee that building work will finish on schedule.
For a visit now, call +82-2-2152-5800 and ask which spaces you can actually enter. If your main reason is the permanent collection, postpone that part of the itinerary until reopening is confirmed. Do not travel across Seoul expecting the full collection simply because an older English page describes normal admission.

Opening hours are different from exhibition access
The Korean visitor guide gives a 09:00 opening and an autumn evening extension on selected days. The dated September notice sets the extension for September 15–November 30, 2026. Thursday closes at 18:00; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday close at 21:00 during that period. The older English overview’s 19:00 schedule should not override these current Korean notices.
| Decision | Checked October 28, 2026 |
|---|---|
| Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun | 09:00–21:00 through November 30; gallery restrictions still apply |
| Thursday | 09:00–18:00 |
| Closures | Mondays and January 1; public-holiday Mondays are an exception |
| Permanent gallery, 1F | Remodelling September–December; confirm reopening |
| Special galleries 1 and 2 | Viewing restricted October 19–November 26 |
| Admission | Permanent collection free when accessible; special shows may charge |
After November 30, check the next operating notice rather than extending the autumn evening hours into winter. A free admission listing is not a promise of access to a room under construction.
Choose the museum entrance, not a generic park meeting point
Save 한성백제박물관 at 71 Wiryeseong-daero, Songpa-gu. The museum’s directions compare three approaches: Line 9 Hanseong Baekje Station exit 2 is about 341 metres or 5–6 minutes on foot; Line 8 Mongchontoseong exit 1 is 650 metres or 10–15 minutes; Olympic Park Station on Lines 5 and 9, exits 3 or 4, is about 1 kilometre or 15–20 minutes. These are the operator’s walking estimates, not accessible-route guarantees.
Hanseong Baekje Station can therefore be a useful starting point when the museum doorway is your destination. If meeting friends for an Olympic Park walk, share the exact meeting pin separately. The Seoul Baekje Children’s Museum has a different location and booking arrangements; a children’s-program reservation should be checked against its own address.
A practical fallback while rooms are restricted
Keep the park walk as a separate decision with a weather check and a return station. Ask “오늘 볼 수 있는 전시실이 어디예요?” (“Which exhibition rooms can I visit today?”) before committing time to the indoor stop. If you want interpretation, confirm both the available exhibition and the language with staff; a general group-tour listing does not establish an English tour on your date.
