Separate a free gallery visit from a paid program
The operator’s fee page explicitly distinguishes exhibition-room access from regular programs, including planetarium screenings, weekend film sessions, the guided-exhibition-and-planetarium package, and the baby-friendly planetarium program. Special classes and events have their own terms. For two adults and one child aged 7–18, the listed regular-program rates total ₩5,000 before any applicable exemption; that calculation is not a price for every special activity.
Bring the required identification or documents if claiming free admission. The fee page lists additional exemption categories. An admission-fee exemption does not override a program’s age limit: standard planetarium screenings exclude children aged 48 months and under, apart from the designated baby-friendly program.
How planetarium tickets work
The planetarium page gives a typical duration of 40–50 minutes and 66 seats plus two wheelchair spaces. On Tuesday–Friday, tickets are issued on site, first come, first served, with sales closing five minutes before the screening. During school terms, weekday morning sessions give groups priority; individuals use remaining places.
For Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, use the Naver reservation link on the official program page; payment and ticket collection are at the center. Walk-in sales depend on remaining seats. On 3 November 2026, the public planetarium page still displayed September and October timetables. Those are not a confirmed November schedule: check the live reservation or call before committing to a particular show. English narration is not confirmed by these pages; ask before booking if language matters.
Walk from Banghwa Station Exit 2
The official directions list Banghwa Station, Line 5, Exit 2, followed by about 500 metres or nine minutes on foot. Save the Korean building name and street address in your map. Buses 651, 654, 672, 6629 and 6648 serve 방화3동주민센터·국립국어원, listed as approximately 240 metres or three minutes away.
The center has no visitor car park. It identifies nearby public parking around Banghwa Station without parking-fee support and warns that holidays can be busy. A public-transport approach is the more predictable starting plan; any roadside parking must follow current signs.
Sources and trip-day checks
Checked 3 November 2026. Opening hours do not promise a telescope observation: use the specific observation or evening-event notice and its weather arrangements. Confirm the selected program’s date, age limit, language and remaining places. This is researched visitor guidance, not a first-hand visit report.
