Seoul Robot and AI Museum: Separate Walk-In Displays from Reserved Programs

Seoul Robot and AI Museum (서울로봇인공지능과학관, Seoul RAIM) is free and normally opens 09:30–17:30. However, exhibition tours and linked ateliers require reservations. The operator lists the Robot·AI Garden, “Level 3 Autonomous Driving” and “Trolley Dilemma” among content available without booking. Choose the experience first: free admission does not mean unrestricted access to every exhibition.

Book an exhibition tour before its start time

The reservation guide directs visitors to Seoul Public Service Reservation through the museum’s booking links. Online booking remains possible until the chosen session starts, subject to remaining places. Even for a same-day vacancy, make the reservation yourself online: the guide says the information desk cannot issue these tickets on site. Save the confirmation and check the activity’s meeting point, language, age and accompanying-adult conditions.

The operator’s 29 May 2026 English-tour notice lists Wednesday 16:30 for the special exhibition. For the permanent tour, the Korean notice text says 15:40, while the poster’s English line says 15:30. Both tours are free with advance reservations; use your booking confirmation or call 02-920-4300 to resolve the permanent-tour time. A standing notice does not establish availability for a particular date.

If you cannot attend, cancel in advance. The reservation instructions and no-show notice state that failing to attend without cancellation can restrict reservations for six months.

Wednesday evening is a first-floor visit

For the September–December 2026 Wednesday trial, the first floor stays open until 20:00; floors 2–4 do not open in the evening. The published program lists robot-dog demonstrations at 18:20 and 19:40, and UGOT robot-control experiences at 18:30 and 19:50, with participation on a first-come basis.

The last Wednesday of September, October and November is reserved for the prebooked RAIM Colloquium, with ordinary viewing restricted. In November 2026 that date is 25 November. Do not treat that evening as an ordinary walk-in visit, and do not extend this seasonal trial beyond December without a new notice.

Arrive from Chang-dong Station Exit 1

The museum lists Chang-dong Station, Lines 1 and 4, Exit 1, followed by about a five-minute walk. Save the museum’s Korean name and street address in your map. Its directions also list village buses Nowon 15, Dobong 08 and Dobong 09, plus green bus 1119, at 창동농협물류센터. Walking time is the operator’s estimate; allow extra time to find your booked meeting point.

Sources and trip-day checks

Checked 3 November 2026. An October-only weekend kiosk-ticket trial remains in the notice list; do not assume it continues into November. Use the current session’s booking conditions or ask the museum if they conflict with the general guide. Planning advice here is researched guidance, not a first-hand visit report.
