Seoul City Tour Bus: Choose Sightseeing Stops or a Night Ride First

Compare a hop-on sightseeing route with a fixed night tour in Seoul, then check the operator, boarding point, ticket coverage and return journey.

Decide what the ride is for

A city tour bus can be part of sightseeing, but first decide whether you want to get off and visit places or mainly enjoy the view from the vehicle. Those are different uses of a ticket and lead to different plans for the rest of the day.

Visit Seoul distinguishes daytime sightseeing routes from night courses and flags some routes as suspended. The operator’s current product page is the better place to confirm your exact tour: a fixed night itinerary can include an arranged photo stop without becoming a flexible hop-on, hop-off route. Treat a route name in an older article as something to verify, not proof that a service is currently operating.

As reviewed on October 21, 2026, Tiger Bus lists a Downtown, Palaces & Namsan hop-on, hop-off product and a separate Han River Namsan Night Tour. The latter advertises photo time at N Seoul Tower. Yellow Balloon is another operator with its own site and products. Match the company name and course on your booking to the actual boarding instructions; do not treat the two operators as one interchangeable ticket.

Check the route, boarding location, operating day, first and last departures, ticket coverage and any booking requirement. Confirm the information for the operator you intend to use; buses with similar sightseeing descriptions do not necessarily share tickets or stops.

For a hop-on service, choose one essential attraction and one optional stop. Check the time needed at the attraction separately from bus travel. A long stop can make the next bus or final departure more important than the number of attractions printed on the route map.

Plan where the ride leaves you

For a night ride, confirm the meeting point and finish location before committing. Work out the return journey to your accommodation rather than assuming the tour ends beside your hotel. Allow for your group’s needs in the weather and ask about the actual vehicle if open-air seating matters.

Keep an alternative local transport route for your essential stop. If the chosen tour is unavailable, you can still decide whether to visit that attraction independently. Avoid buying a ticket solely for a route feature that has not been confirmed for your date.
